Choosing which book to read next fills my world with excitement. It’s like deciding which world to open first, it’s like selecting which movie to watch next, the only difference is that after watching the movie we simply get entertainment and after completing a book we get knowledge which stays with us forever.
I have started reading “1984” by George Orwell, this book was written in 1948 and was set in the future to 1984, and I am reading it in 2016(sounds confusing right?). So basically I am going through Orwell’s point of view of what he thought 1984 would look like in 1948. I have seen this book’s reference in many movies and real stories. The famous Apple commercial called “1984” which was directed by Ridley Scott (who also directed movies like Gladiator, Prometheus & The Martian) was inspired by this book and this advertisement was a very big deal during that time, here is the YouTube link for the video.
Since I would be reading more than one book at a time, the next books in line are, “How to Master Your Time” by Brain Tracy and “Solving the Procrastination Puzzle” by Timothy A. Pychyl.
I would be sharing my learning in subsequent posts.
